Magnetic Field Visualization with Computers
In order to visualize the magnetic fields, which are being produced by the automated mapping device the group has developed RaceTRACK Version 1.0.0. An intergraded Windows® application, which can reconstruct and visualize the *.MFM, *.MFF magnetic field files. It can also visualize artificial fields, just for research. It also produces x-B(x) and y-B(y) section graphs, 2D Contour Plots and 3D Plots with full control over them. Furthermore it has the ability to emulate the orbit of a charged particle in the magnetic field distribution you currently process, using Lagrangian mechanics. Finally, it can calculate electron rigidities according to the inserted Kinetic Energy and find the required B field value for a given bending radius (for bending magnetic systems). The application is able to do several corrections to faulty measurements and process the field according to taste. The application can be downloaded from the “Downloads” page. Note that it is available for research use only and you have to apply for password to unzip the installation file! |
