Traveling by Boat
Ferry: Transportation by ferry to Milos takes 5-6 hours. There are 2-3 scheduled departures per day from Piraeus port to Milos and from Milos to Piraeus port. The departures are more frequent during summer. A common class ticket for a ferry costs about 20 Euros (one-way).
High Speed Vessel: Transportation to Milos by High Speed Vessel takes 2,5 - 3 hours. There is only one scheduled departure per day from Piraeus port. A single ticket costs about 40 Euros.
There is also direct (or via transfer) transportation from Milos to many of the other Cycladic islands, for example, Kimolos, Sifnos, Paros, Naxos, Ios, Syros, Amorgos and Santorini. Traveling to Crete via Siphnos is also possible.
Traveling by Airplane
There is an airline connection from Athens to Milos with Olympic Airlines . There are 1-2 flights daily during high season (May-October). The flight lasts 40 minutes and the airport is 4.5 km away from Adamas (island's main port). During the PAVI06 week following flights are scheduled by Olympic Airlines; the fare for a ticket from Athens to Milos costs 41.45 Euro (one way) and 79.45 Euro (with return):
