The island of Milos is located south from Piraeus, in the Aegean Sea and is one of the most beautiful islands in Greece.  Due to its volcanic nature the island of Milos is a place of a unique variety of rocks  and rare volcanic structures and formations.

    Aphrodite of Milos Milos is well known for its natural beauty as well as it's great archaeological findings.  The most important of all is "Aphrodite of Milos" (Venus de Milo), a Hellinistic work of about 150 BC, which was discovered in 1820. A plaster copy of this masterpiece of art can be seen in the island's Archaeological Museum while the original is in the museum of Louvre in Paris.  The Mining Museum, the Christian Catacombs, Phylakopi and the Ancient Theatre of Milos are some of the many sites worth visiting.
Milos is famous all over the world for its amazing beaches of wild beauty, making the island the perfect destination for a summer vacation.
