From Athens International Airport to the City Center

 

There are three ways to get from the Athens International airport (El.Venizelos) to the center of Athens (Syntagma Square), and they are the following:

 

  1. By metro.  There is a terminal right in front of the airport and it goes straight to Syntagma station. It is about half an hour ride and the cost of a single ticket is 6 euros for one person, and 10 euros for two persons. (See 'ticket prices')

  2. By public bus. There is a bus stop outside the airport between the exits 4 and 5. The bus that goes straight from the airport to the city center at Syntagma is the express bus E95.  It is about 45 - 60 minutes ride and the ticket costs 2.90 euros. The buses leave every 20 minutes.   3. By taxi. All taxis are next to exit 3 at the level of the arrivals. Transportation to the city center will cost you about 20-30 Euros.

 

 

From the City Center to the Athens International Airport 

 

 

There are three ways to get from the center of Athens (Syntagma Square) to the Athens International airport (El.Venizelos), and they are the following:

 

  1. By metro. You take the line 3 of the metro from 'Syntagma station' (with direction 'Airport'). It is about half an hour ride and the ticket costs 6 euros.

  2. By public bus. The bust to the airport is the express bus E95, and the bus stop is right in front of Syntagma square.   3. To take a Taxi. There is a taxi queue right in front of Syntagma Square. Transportation to the Athens airport will cost about 20-30 Euros.

 

 

From the City Center to the port of Piraeus

 

 

There are two ways to get from the center of Athens (Syntagma Square) to the Athens International airport (El.Venizelos), and they are the following:

 

  1. By metro. You take line 2 from 'Syntagma station' with direction to 'Agios Antonios' and after 2 stops you get off at 'Omonoia station' where you take line 1 with direction to  Pireaus. Pireaus is the last stop of line 1 and right across from Pireaus Metro station you can see the port.  The ticket costs 0.7 euros.

  2. To take a Taxi.  There is a taxi queue right in front of Syntagma Square. They are almost everywhere. Transportation to the port of Piraeus will cost about 10-15 Euros

 

From the port of Piraeus to the City Center

 

 

There are two ways to get from the center of Athens (Syntagma Square) to the Athens International airport (El.Venizelos), and they are the following:

 

  1. By metro. You take line 1 from with direction to 'Kifissia' and at 'Omonoia station' you change to line 2 with direction to 'Agios Dimitrios' and after 2 stops you have reached 'Syntagma station'. The ticket costs 0.7 euros.

  2. To take a Taxi.  There are many taxis parked and waiting for clients at the port. The ride from Pireaus port to Athens city center (Syntagma Square) costs 10-15 Euros.

 

 

 

From the Athens International Airport to the port of Piraeus

 

 

 There are three ways to get from the Athens International airport (El.Venizelos) to the port of Piraeus, and they are the following:

  1. By metro.  There is a terminal right in front of the airport. You take line 3 from the airport. When reaching 'Syntagma Station' you change from line 3 to line 2 with direction to 'Aghios Antonios' . After 2 Stops you have reached 'Omonoia station', where you change from line 2 to line 1 with direction to Pireaus. The station is right across the port.

  2. By public bus. There is a bus stop outside the airport between the exits 4 and 5. The bus that goes straight from the airport to the port of Piraeus is the express bus E96.  It is about  60-90 minutes ride and the ticket costs 2.90 euros. The buses leave every 20 minutes.   3. By taxi. All taxis are next to exit 3 at the level of the arrivals. Transportation to the port will cost you about 25-40 Euros.

 

 

From the port of Piraeus to the Athens International Airport

 

 

 

 There are three ways to get from the port of Piraeus to the Athens International airport (El.Venizelos), and they are the following:

  1. By metro. You take line 1 from with direction to 'Kifissia' and at 'Omonoia station' you change to line 2 with direction to 'Agios Dimitrios' and after 2 stops you have reached 'Syntagma station'. At Syntagma you change to line 3 with direction to the airport. The ticket costs 6 euros.
